What is Digital Marketing?

Digital Marketing is the fourth stage of the Oculus Intel build. It covers content strategy mapped to search intent, blog and pillar content production, social media programs, email sequences, and paid campaigns across search and social. Content is structured for both search ranking and citation by AI assistants. Every asset produced and every advertising account opened is held in the client's name.

Why does this stage matter?

Buyers research long before they call. In manufacturing, most of a purchase decision is made before a vendor is ever contacted; in home services the pattern is the same, compressed into days rather than months.

That research happens whether or not you are part of it. A business with nothing published is not neutral in that process — it is absent, and the competitor who answered the question gets the call.

What does Digital Marketing include?

Content strategy

Keyword and intent mapping that identifies what your buyers actually search, then a pillar-and-cluster plan that builds authority on those topics rather than scattering posts.

Content production

Long-form pillar pages and supporting articles written to rank and structured to be quoted — direct answers, question-shaped headings, tables, and FAQ sections.

Social programs

Platform-appropriate content on a sustainable cadence. Job-site proof for home services, technical and process content for manufacturing buyers.

Email and nurture

Sequences for people who are interested but not ready, so the list you have built keeps producing work.

Paid campaigns

Search and social campaigns run in your own ad accounts, with conversion tracking wired to the CRM so you can see which spend produced which job.

Reporting

Attribution from first touch to closed job, in a dashboard you can open yourself.

What do you own at the end of this stage?

Where this sits in the build

Each stage stands on the one before it. Digital Marketing is stage 04 of six.

Foundation and frame

Digital Architecture

Page structure, URLs, schema, and site health. Get this wrong and every dollar you spend on marketing lands on a site search engines cannot read.

Systems

Digital Engineering

CRM, pipelines, follow-up automation, and Chase AI picking up calls and messages at any hour. Built inside accounts registered to your business.

Finish

Digital Design

Visual identity and interface work for the moment a buyer has your page open alongside three competitors and is deciding which one looks like it will show up.

Staging

Digital Marketing

Content, social, and paid campaigns built as a fair trade — something genuinely useful in exchange for a few minutes of someone's time.

Curb appeal

Digital Footprint

Google Business Profile, citations, reviews, and the structure that gets you named when someone asks an AI assistant for a recommendation.

Maintenance

Digital Asset Management

Credentials, documentation, training, and monitoring. This is where ownership stops being a promise on a homepage and becomes a list of logins in your name.

Questions about Digital Marketing

How long before content produces results?

New content typically takes three to six months to reach stable rankings, longer in competitive markets or on a domain with no existing authority. Paid campaigns produce leads within days but stop when spend stops. Most builds run both, so there is pipeline while the owned content matures.

Who owns the content you write?

You do. Articles, images, video, and copy are delivered as assets with source files, not licensed for the length of an agreement. If the relationship ends, the content stays published on your site and keeps ranking.

Do you run ads in your own account or mine?

Yours. Ad accounts are opened in your business name with your billing attached. That means the campaign history, audience data, and conversion learning accumulate in an asset you keep rather than one you would have to rebuild elsewhere.
